Two Walls, One Object

A Hall for One, for Some, for All.

Exercise 2, MIT Core I Studio, Fall 2023
In collaboration with Orr Kalati & Alireza Khalatbari.  Instructed by William O’Brien Jr., Carrie Norman, and Mohamad Nahleh.

The project aims to redefine the spatial characters of Long Lounge, a multi-purpose hall at the department of architecture. The proposed intervention is a room that functions as an object disrupting the existing circulation and divides Long Lounge into a formal conference hall on one side and a dynamic gallery on the other. The two distinct sides of the object-room correponds to the conference hall and the gallery.
